Over 1,800 individuals prohibited from engaging in gameplay
Gambling self-exclusion in Ukraine is on the rise, according to recent reports on the commission's website. A total of 1800 individuals have opted to exclude themselves from gambling activities, a trend that seems to be growing.
The registry, established in April 2023, has been operational for a few years now, having started to form several years prior. In 2021, the registry saw the addition of 195 names, while in 2022, this figure rose to 315. It's worth mentioning that most of the self-excluding individuals fall within the age bracket of 21-40 years old, as per KRAIL data.
The law allows for self-exclusion from gambling for periods ranging from six months to three years, and requests cannot be withdrawn once made. To self-exclude, individuals can submit an application directly to KRAIL, send it to their email, or complete it using a special form available online. Importantly, online applications must be signed with an electronic signature.
While there's no comprehensive data on the number of self-exclusions since the registry's inception, you may find more information by reaching out to Ukrainian gambling regulatory bodies or checking their official releases.
